Over Labor Day weekend we finally made the drive up to the High Uintas with Ben, Suz, and Whit. We stopped at a few points of interest on the Mirror Lake Highway, spending the bulk of our time at Mirror Lake. We enjoyed the cooler weather while we walked the scenic 3-mile loop around the lake. We spotted plenty of fish along the shoreline and saw lots of people trying to catch said fish (a few were successful). Some of our group ventured out into the lake by walking on a series of rocks. I love the pictures I got of Cat and Jack working together to get out to this fun little spot in the lake.
Once we finished our walk (I'm not sure it qualified as a hike) we got our food out of the cars and had a little picnic lunch, which we shared with some adorable little chipmunks.
Also, I need to note that Cat took the majority of these pictures. She loved documenting the adventure and finding beautiful elements to zero in on as we were walking. I let her have control over the camera for most of the day and ended up with about 330 pictures to sift through, haha. But I think she did a great job!
