It was another week after Back to School night before Luke had his first day of school. Once we took Jack and Eliza to school that morning, Luke packed Froggy into his newly-sharked backpack, then we read a book about a boy going to Preschool and doing lots of fun things there. It seemed fitting. We even got to Luke's school early enough to take some pictures and make a video before they opened the doors.
Luke's first time writing his name. |
Is he a cutie patootie or what? It's okay. You don't have to answer that.
Luke arrived and stayed at school like a champ on the first day, then decided he didn't want to go to school the next two days. I tried everything I could think of to help him be okay with staying at school but nothing worked, so I finally left him crying, afraid that if I brought him home again it would teach him that he didn't actually have to go to school. Well, thankfully, he was happy to stay on the fourth day and hasn't had any trouble since.
