Grammy's Visit

My Mom flew to Utah to help her father celebrate a milestone birthday.  She decided to come a couple of days early so we could hang out before she headed to my grandparents' house, so we enjoyed getting to hang out.

Even Luke's bear was safely buckled in for the drive up to the airport
to pick up Grammy.

We picked Grammy up in the mid-afternoon and we stopped at Temple Square to
see the newly-renovated (as in, just re-opened a few days before) Church
History Museum before dinner time.  We all really enjoyed the new exhibits in the museum.

J & L looking through small openings to see all of the places
Joseph Smith hid the gold plates during the time he was translating.

Visitors were invited to write their thoughts on What the Book of Mormon
Means to You and hang the papers on the pegs.

Cat's & Eliza's papers.

The children's area of the museum was very different - much less
noise-inducing.  More calm and reverent and Christ-centered.  While sitting
in the big wooden ship, the kids could watch some of the new Bible Videos.
That's why none of them were looking at the camera...

Grammy was only here for a couple of days and after
our big excursion to the Church History Museum I didn't
take many pictures.  I will share this sweet one of Grammy
and Luke.  She's reading him a book she sent for Christmas,
which is one of his favorites.

Thanks for visiting, Grammy!
Any time you have a couple of days, we'll take 'em.
