Arches 2017

We had a fun day in Arches to complete our little Spring Break excursion.  We did two hikes to see two very different arches, and saw lots of others along the way.  We brought a picnic lunch with us but after enduring the wind the day before and the crazy wind to Delicate Arch, we ate lunch in the car.  The kids also completed the Junior Ranger program here, which is always fun.

Ready to hike 3 miles to Delicate Arch!

Luke did some walking, and a lot of riding.

He was more lethargic than normal after being sick the day before.

On the hike, Jack found this arch.
A little smaller than the famous ones, but I think it still counts.

Jack was the most worried about being up there in the wind, mostly because he's been
reading books about hurricanes and tornadoes lately...

So windy!

We decided not to walk the final 200 feet to take a picture under the arch, but I'm
including this picture of a random family to show just how big this thing is.

Petroglyphs!  Luke wasn't impressed.

Original Wolfe Ranch cabin, about 100 years old.

This picture doesn't do Landscape Arch justice.
It's 306 feet long!
