When in Rome

Ben's been around a lot more lately than ever before, and I've gotten spoiled about not having to take 4 kids with me everywhere I go.  But he flew out of town last week on a day that one of the kids had a doctor's appointment, so I had to brace myself and bring some tag-alongs to a doctor's office I'd never been to before (after getting everyone up early to take Ben to the airport, haha).  Jack was a bit more active than I would have preferred - I had to remind him not to sit on the windowsills and other not-for-sitting places in the office - but other than that the kids were great.  In fact, Cat kept everyone entertained by playing doctor while we were waiting to be seen in the exam room.  I think it was the seat that attracted her.  It's hard not to have fun examining patients when you get to sit on a swivelly stool on wheels.

During the same appointment, a nurse made the mistake of telling Jack that he's cute.  He immediately fired back, "I'm NOT cute!  I'm old!" I told him that Daddy's cute even though he's old, but he didn't care.  He insisted he was too old to be cute anymore.  So.  Now you know.
