The National Archives
The only part of the Archives we explored was the Rotunda, where the Declaration
of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are on display.
No photography was allowed, but I'll just say that the kids (Will & Cat mostly)
were appropriately impressed with the sight of those documents,
which changed the course of the world.

I like this quote, found outside of the Archives.
"The heritage of the past is the seed that brings forth the harvest of the future."

The American History Museum
This is the last stop we made at the National Mall.
These kids were DONE by the time we arrived here.
We stayed less than 30 minutes and a good portion
of that time was spent sitting on a bench trying to
figure out what to do next.

The first of only two displays that caught the kids' attention.
This is an actual robe Daniel Radcliffe wore during filming
of Harry Potter.  (I don't know which one)  This was in a
Warner Bros. exhibit.  The other display that they enjoyed
was one about pirates, tucked into a maritime exhibit.
