(Picture) Book Review

I've been wanting to put together a list of our favorite picture books from the library for a little while.  These are all books that we've checked out, some of them multiple times, and enjoyed together - parents and kids of various ages.  Some of these we've loved so much we've bought them, others might end up as Christmas presents down the line.  But they're all worth checking out.  Hee hee hee.

Siblings go on an imaginary pirate adventure at bedtime.
It's just precious.

A sweet story about a messy fairy who visits a little girl
when she needs her most.

Boy and Robot become friends and do their best
to take care of each other.

A princess is in danger!
But the person who saves her will surprise you.

I first fell in love with this book when my Sister-In-Law
shared this YouTube video with us.

Such a lovely Christmas book, told entirely in pictures.
I'm hoping to add this one to our collection very soon.

This is the only one on the list we didn't originally get from the library.
My sister introduced us to Elephant and Piggie and we love them.
Jack is an especially big fan.

What would happen if a princess and a pig switched places??

A cute book about a father and daughter.

I've lost count of the number of times we've checked this one out.
Love, love, love it.  We're pretty big fans of Tom Lichtenheld around here.

Such a cute book.

One of Eliza's favorites from the library.

I can't believe we didn't read Fancy Nancy until this year.
We've been missing out.
We've enjoyed several of Jez Alborough's Duck books.
That Duck.  What a character.

Another Tom Lichtenheld - this one about a girl who cannot paint without
her special beret, until she discovers that she can.

This has become my all-time favorite picture book,
and not just because the title character is named Jack.
If you've never read it, please do so.
