Booin'

We were Booed at the beginning of October, when we received treats from an anonymous benefactor (only we're pretty sure it was the YW because it was at about 8:30 on a Wednesday and Eliza says she saw them hiding in our bushes).  Along with the treats we had with instructions to post a sign in our window that says "We've Been Booed" and to return the favor to two other families.

Luke had helped me make sugar cookies a week or two earlier and we'd put them in the freezer for whenever we had the chance to frost them.  So we pulled them out on a Sunday evening and did some quick decorating so that we could Boo some friends of ours.  Eliza forgot about the "anonymous" aspect of the process when she wrote her name in green frosting on one of the cookies and wanted to include that cookie on the plate for her Primary teacher.  Ben solved the problem by eating that cookie instead of giving it away.  What would we do without him?

It was fun to be covert and kind in the same activity.  Eliza got dressed in all black before she made her drop.  Both she and Jack were able to Boo their chosen families and escape unnoticed, but Cat ended up dropping the sunglasses she was wearing (in the pitch black) and had to take a second to find them, so she was spotted by the family she was bringing cookies to.

And the funniest part about the whole thing was that when we got home, we had another plate of goodies on our doorstep with the exact same Booing instructions attached, even though our "We've Been Booed" sign was clearly taped beside our door.  Haha - oh well.  We enjoyed the muffins we received anyway!  And now we have TWO signs by the door.
