On Saturday I took the kids to Temple Square to meet up with two families, who we first met when I was pregnant with Cat (and the other two women had just one child each). It was fun to be with Keli's family and Kathryn's family, to catch up with the women and let the kids get to know each other better.
First we had lunch, then we spent some time at the South Visitors' Center, with the kids examining the full-scale model of the temple, watching Church commercials, and tinkering around with family history on the computers while the Moms talked. Then we walked over to the Church History Museum, excited to let the kids play one more time before the museum closes for renovations in October. But, oops, The second floor was already closed to begin the renovation process. So we settled for trying on pioneer costumes and pushing around a handcart in the lobby. The kids were good sports about it and still had a good time together.
What a treat to get to spend time with good friends who've been part of our lives for so long!
