Luke's 10th Birthday

(originally published 9/13/23)

Luke entered the world of the double digits! His birthday fell on a Sunday, and I helped to plan a big event at our older kids' school on Saturday night, so it was a do-a-few-fun-things-throughout-the-weekend (and include whoever is available) kind of birthday, and Luke had a great time.

On Friday night, we took the three younger kids to see
The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Then, this was Ben and Luke on Saturday morning.
That morning they also made a trip to Scheels to pick out a bow & arrow set.
(We'd ordered one online but when it arrived we saw that it was definitely
not for the ages advertised. It was much too small for Luke.)

Luke's favorite restaurant for lunch: Kneaders!

He requested a Captain America cake and I did my best.

Ben took the kids to Boondocks for putt-putt and arcade games
while I went to the school to get things set up for the banquet that night.

On his actual birthday, Luke practiced using his new bow & arrow!
