Jack Ran Track

 (published 12/6/23)

Jack loved running track in the Spring. It was a great way to exercise and be with friends, and the commitment wasn't too intense. He went to a few practices a week and competed in most of the meets. He had a lot of fun with it. His events were 100m, 200m, and javelin. I don't have his season stats because I waited too long to put this post together, but I do have a few pictures and videos to share.

Our friend Colin took this picture of Jack at the first track meet,
in Millard, UT in March.

Colin also sent a couple of videos, but since iPhones
and Androids don't like to play nice, the videos are very grainy.
So instead of sharing the grainy video of Jack throwing a javelin,
I'm sharing a grainy screenshot from the video of Jack throwing a javelin.

I attended the meet in Delta at the end of April and it was great to cheer him on and to see him interacting with his team. At this meet, he ran the 100m in 14:11 and the 200m in 29:19.

Playing Sabacc with his teammates during down time.

Looks like he forgot to put on sunscreen...
