TBT: This & That

Back in January and February, Luke and Eliza were particularly into the YouTube channels "5-Minute Crafts" and "Troom Troom."  It was fun to see them put some of the knowledge they gained to use.  One day when Eliza complained that Jack had stretched out Eliza's gymnastics scrunchy, out of nowhere Luke piped up with, "You should put it in hot water."  When the scissors were rusty, Eliza told us to soak them in Sprite.  She also got the idea to watch wax float in water.  And make miniature umbrellas.  And Luke made a phone holder out of plastic utensils, tape, and a clothespin.

Eliza has had a loft bed in her room since we moved into the house and she loved it at first, but after a little while it became annoying to have to climb up to the bed all the time, so after talking about getting a regular bed, we decided to try to just chop the loft down.  This was our first quarantine project, and it was definitely a success.

This was the original bed:

Because we're loving time lapse these days:

I guess Luke is so used to seeing me take pictures all the time that he's started telling me to take pictures of things that I normally wouldn't.  He must have thought this stray cat, dead wasp, and Provo River duck were noteworthy.  Each time he said, "Mom! Take a picture!"

I like this little video Eliza and Jack made earlier this month:
