Cat got braces on August 21st, 2018, the second day of 8th grade. She was excited to finally have braces and get her teeth straightened out (see what I did there) and she was careful about brushing and flossing and hardly complained when she was sore after appointments. She was okay with the 18-month timeline the orthodontist gave us initially, and even happier when after about a year her teeth were lining up nicely and we were told she'd probably get them off a little early - perhaps before Christmas. But, between her teeth being more stubborn than we thought, and Covid, she didn't get the braces off until a few weeks after finishing 9th grade. She had them on for a total of 21.5 months. But they're off now, and she looks great!
