Ben's Birthday and More

Ben and Suz were here to help us celebrate Ben's birthday with a low country boil dinner.  They also gave him the gift he was most excited about: an assortment of fine bacons.

I found Eliza and Whit in the playroom one morning, trying very hard to look asleep.

Enjoying Suz's famous macarons

The kids were really excited about putting on a puppet show for us one day.
They advertised, gave out tickets, explained the rules before beginning (no weapons - unless they aren't loaded; no photo or video recording; and no walking to the kitchen unless you need food) and insisted that the audience sit on the landing above the kitchen/living room level for the best view.  They performed several original puppet shows and loved every minute.

Not just a double Frosted Mini-Wheat.  Not even a triple.
It's a quad.

I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite picture of Luke.
In approximately 4" of water.
Turns out, Bandit did not want to go for a swim.

Cat did her own puppet show (with the seating reversed)
when she was babysitting for us Friday night.  We came home to find this set-up.
Luke colored this to bring to his best friend's backyard birthday party.
He was SO EXCITED to see some friends in person again.

This is Luke's bed, with fewer toys than usual.

Sunday evening fun with Mom's phone:
