We picked Suz and Whit up at the airport on a Tuesday afternoon (with Ben arriving the following week after attending a conference), and by the time we endured rush hour + construction traffic, we had to go straight to Jack's post-day-camp Pack Meeting, where we heard all about their adventures from the day, watched their skits, and enjoyed their Dutch Oven cobbler for dessert. It was so fun to have Suz and Whit there with us, just like it was a normal thing.
We really enjoyed the other normal-not-normal things: the kids playing at the house (including multiple spy-related activities that involved walkie talkies), family games, going to the pool and the library, cooking and baking together, running errands, watching movies, and just talking and laughing.

It felt like they'd never left. It was great.
