This and That

Red Ribbon Week Posters:

It might be hard to tell, but these HP glasses are being held together with
duct tape on one side, since "Oculo Reparo" wasn't working for us.  The glasses we got for
Jack's costume were pretty fragile, so I would put them far, far away whenever Jack wasn't
using them and tell him he should leave them alone until the next time he had to wear them as
part of his costume.  Sure enough, he'd get them out again and start playing with them.  By the
time Halloween rolled around, they were barely wearable and Jack threatened to dress up as
Harry Potter without them.
Kids.

Popcorn + Mad Libs on a sunny fall afternoon, winding down from school.

Cousins are particularly handy when you are trying to finish off your Halloween candy.
When Whit came over one afternoon, the two of them were doing this before I'd
even gotten everything out of the car.  Made me laugh.

Dress Up As Your Future Career Day (at Cat's "nerd school," in her words)
Cat wants to be an engineer.  And she'd be a great one.

Churro-making.  These were good, but not great.  We'll have to try again.

When Jack told me that he finished his homework, I asked to see it so that I
could check his handwriting.  He replied that it was just scribbles.
Little did I know, he wasn't exaggerating.

It's hard to be upset with Eliza for not getting ready for school in the morning
when she's using her time to help Luke with a puzzle instead.

Eliza busted these two fingers at school last week.
She made herself a bandage the next morning and told me she wanted
her friends to sign it.  I told her I didn't think they'd be able to, but she
proved me wrong by signing it herself.  She was really excited about
all the people who signed it that day, including one of her teachers.

Eliza let Jack have some of her Halloween candy.
He was in there for a while, deciding what he wanted.
