Last week I was watching a friend's kids for our weekly babysitting swap, which allows us to take turns attending the temple or doing family history. Eliza and her friend wanted to have a tea party, so I got out the cute tea set Eliza got for her birthday from her Mema (which includes the table cloth and napkins she made - love them!). I got it set up for them, complete with the herbal tea Eliza requested. But after tasting the tea, both of them decided they didn't like it (even though I'd added a generous amount of honey) so they had a water party instead.
The boys wanted in on the party action but I thought it best for them to use plastic dishes, so I shooed them downstairs to the playroom and set up a different kind of tea party. The kind that lets kids knock over the table without anything getting messed up.
Smart Mom. They all seem very happy with their parties. A good arrangement with your friend.
