I'm not saying it was a leprechaun, but someone was up to something at our house that night, though because when the kids woke up there was a box of Lucky Charms for them to eat and our milk was green. Weird.
They put the finishing touches on the trap before school. In the end, it was a long path with signs warning the leprechaun NOT to proceed and try to get the gold that was hidden in the box.
Well, if that little booger didn't come and fall into the trap but manage to get out. We know because we found a little bit of his clothes that got torn in the struggle. Next year we'll get him for sure. Jack is already planning it.
Apparently there were close calls in both Eliza's and Jack's classrooms as well, with leprechauns causing all kinds of trouble and Eliza's teacher even seeing their leprechaun trap, which they made as a class, moving at some point. But that leprechaun escaped too. Slippery, those guys.
That night we had our green 4-leaf clover waffles, as is customary, with green smoothies.
Oh, I wanna catch one too!
