Jack's Amazing Week

Jack is a good student, but doesn't always have model behavior.  Following the rules was even a little harder for him after Christmas Break.  I guess that two weeks of vacation was enough to get him out of his routine.  So a few weeks ago when Jack had an AMAZING week at school, it was definitely cause to celebrate.

Cat's and Jack's school uses a clip chart to track behavior during the day.  Students are told to clip up for good behavior and clip down for bad behavior.  The top of the clip chart is the "Amazing" level, so the goal is for everyone to end the day on Amazing.

Jack was so excited to tell me that he was on Amazing after school that Monday!  Then on Tuesday, his teacher wrote a note on his learning plan.  And she told him that if he kept up the great behavior, he would be awarded the designation of Noble Knight (given out to well-behaved kids every Friday).

And sure enough, he was.

It was a great coincidence that this was also the week that report cards went out, so that Friday afternoon I took the kids to Krispy Kreme for our favorite report card treats.

Also, I'm happy to report that Jack has continued to be on Amazing almost every day since his first Amazing Week.  I'm so proud of my big guy!
