A friend brought us a chocolate advent calendar at the end of November, and I worked out with The Bigs that they would take turns having the chocolate each day. This worked great for the first few rounds, but by Dec. 9th there was a problem. Pieces were missing. And not just a couple. Several.
Accusations were made, but nobody fessed up, so I told Cat to just choose another number to eat for that day. The numbers were all messed up, of course, because so many were missing, but when Cat investigated further she discovered that the chocolates had simply fallen out of their little molds. They were still there! But because it was so jumbled, I thought it was useless to try to get it all back on track. So I told the kids they could just eat the rest of the candy, as long as they divided it up evenly. Luke got in on the action, and everyone was very happy. Mom of the year!
Oh. And did I mention that this was at 7:30 in the morning, on a school day?
Yeah....
How fun - well not for the teachers:)
