This afternoon I considered taking the kids on a bike ride. Cat and Jack would ride their bikes, Eliza and Luke would ride in the trailer behind my (Ben's) bike. Unfortunately, Jack's back tire was flat and though I tried to inflate it, it didn't work, so we were down one bike. Cat has ridden Ben's bike a few times and asked if she could ride it in front of the house, with Luke in the trailer. I agreed, then Cat suggested that Jack try to ride her bike. She thought he could do it if I lowered the seat. So, I lowered the seat and helped Jack get on, and sure enough, he could ride it with no problem, even if mounting was a challenge. I would have let Eliza try Jack's bike right there, but again, it had a flat tire.
What a great improvising job y'all did! So glad they are so adaptable and agile:) ( Is that the right word?)
