True Story

We interrupt the end-of-the-school-year-events posts to bring you this special bulletin.

The kids and I binge-listened to Harry Potter books for a few weeks before suddenly switching gears and binge-listening to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

When we finished the latter book, we watched the newest film adaptation together, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Toward the end of the movie, Peter, Susan, and Lucy discover that Edmund has been dangerously wounded in the battle with the White Witch's army.  Eliza, who was sitting close to the TV, completely captivated, enthusiastically offered this bit of advice:

"USE THE POLYJUICE POTION!"

Alas, Lucy didn't have any polyjuice potion.  And I'm not sure who she would have turned Edmund into if she did.  But she DID have the healing cordial Father Christmas gave her, and - spoiler alert - Edmund was saved.
