We saw Gail Halverson, the Candy Bomber, walking around at the Colonial Fest in Orem last weekend and I was dying to get a picture with him but felt just as nervous talking to him as if I were approaching Brad Pitt, maybe more so. I have so much respect for him and the way he began a movement that not only blessed the lives of the Germans he helped but facilitated significant healing in the aftermath of WWII. I tried to tell him that in my awkward way as he was walking off to greet other people with his enormous smile. Oh well.
What a wonderful picture of all of you! Thank you so much for sharing. I feel like I witnessed the whole thing.
