BMX + Baked Goods

When I heard that there would be a BMX show at the library this summer, I wrote it on the calendar to make sure we wouldn't miss it.  I was even willing to wake Luke up early from his nap so that we could attend, I was that excited.  The kids were excited too and it was fun to watch the bikers do some tricks in the parking lot of the library.  The show included three bikers who would take turns doing tricks, with tips about bike safety mixed in.

Eliza won a postcard (by answering a question about bike safety) from the company who put on the show and waited in line to have all of the bikers sign it.  It was pretty great.

After the show, we went into the library with our friends and found a few things to check out.  When we were walking back to our cars, we decided to take a peek at a bakery across the street.  I'd noticed it before but never gone inside.  It's called the Mighty Baker and even though they'd already closed for the day, they let us in and we got a couple of things to share.  The Stroopwafel is one of their signature items, so we made sure to try that.  (I imagine it's delicious when it's fresh and warm.)  What a fun afternoon!
