April Fool's Day 2016

We decided to play a little prank on Ben and we got him pretty good.  We used the kids' report cards to get 3 half-dozen boxes of doughnuts, then when we got home I put the doughnuts from one box into a pan and his all the doughnuts.  Then I put a bunch of carrots and cucumber slices inside the empty doughnut box.

I coached the kids on what to do.  As soon as Ben walked in the door after work, the kids bombarded him with, "We got doughnuts!  Let's eat them now!" and I acted like I wasn't sure that was a good idea, so I let Ben decide if we should have doughnuts or real food first.  He chose doughnuts, so I told him he could have the first one.  It was perfect.

And the best part is that he's come to expect some kind of prank on April Fool's but it was so late in the day that he thought he was safe.
