Everyday Stuff - May 2013 Edition

I failed to mention on my post about riding on Thomas the Tank Engine's train that we actually had an entire Family Fun Day that day.  We used it as a way to motivate our kids (and me!) to eat healthier.  We earned points by eating fruits and vegetables for the month leading up to the Big Day.

When we got home from going on a ride with Thomas, the kids played in the sprinkler in the back yard.  It was still a bit cold for aquatic frivolity, though...

Then after dinner we took them to Coldstone to use up a gift card we've had for a while.

As we were enjoying our ice cream, the kids started telling jokes.  Since I'm sure you're wondering what kind of jokes they came up with, I will share the video.  I sure love these guys.

Other Every Day Stuff Goings On from May:

The girls walked better in these heels than I would have.

Cat went through all of the requirements of learning to be a princess,
according to Disney's Sofia The First DVD insert.
The final requirement was to have a tea (hot chocolate) party.
Jack happily joined in.

Back Yard

Baby Love.

I don't remember who was sharing with whom...

Sometimes being a good dad means getting kicked in the face.
If you have Jack as a son, "sometimes" is an understatement.

This was the BYU Bean Museum live animal demonstration for our playgroup.
Jack wasn't afraid of the live snake or the dead polar bear head.

The 'Hood.
Our kids with their good friends, our next-door neighbors,
at the home of our other next-door neighbors, who occasionally invited all
of the kids over to their back yard to roast marshmallows and make s'mores.

Pops gave Jack a skate board for his birthday ... and Jack is still alive.

Playdough.
Jack strikes again.

Cat just loves holding this little guy.

How to carry a tomato so as not to drop or damage it.

And AGAIN.

  1. Love that it doesn't phase Ben a bit that the kids are climbing all over him in multiple pictures.... Especially the last! Carries on with what he is doing like it was nothing! ;)
