While I was Gone

Leaving the kids to go on tour wasn't hard.  I didn't get sad or sentimental about traveling for two weeks, and neither did they.  And for the first 2/3 of my trip, I was fine.  I missed them, but in a "I sure love those guys" kind of way, not in a "I'm miserable without them" kind of way.  But by the end of tour, I was getting sad that they weren't experiencing the same things I was, and I was ready to get home, back to my people and my world.  And from the reports I heard from home, they felt the same way.  The kids and Ben and Grammy were fine without me for a while, but toward the end of the trip they were ready for me to come home too.  I guess it worked out that way.

I don't have many pictures from back home during the time I was gone.  I know that their adventures included rock climbing camp (the younger three attended during the week Cat was in Hawaii), swimming at the pool, watching movies, going out to eat, practicing piano (if you can call that an adventure), reading, gymnastics for Eliza, and baseball for Jack.  And here are a few pics I have from some other adventures ...

Ben's company had a summer party at Solitude Mountain Resort.
It looked so beautiful and sounded really fun.  I was sad to miss it but glad
he could enjoy it with the kids!
Riding the ski lift and showing off a new (company) hat.

I think all of these pictures are from trips to Cabella's.
They crack me up.  Especially Luke.

(If you're curious about my experiences on tour, read this.)
