Family Fun Day

We had a family fun day on the last Saturday before Cat and I both went out of town.  We attended Jack's baseball game in the morning (photos already posted), then drove up to Salt Lake to go to the Hogle Zoo.  We had great weather and saw lots of cool animals!

One of the zoo's new Red Pandas - they're much smaller than Giant Pandas!

One of the seals (sea lions?) was celebrating his (her?) birthday with a fish-cake.

Big Snake.

Big Fish.

Big Crocodile.

We watched the elephant trainers demonstrate how they've taught elephants what to
do in order to allow the elephants to be checked and kept healthy while the workers are staying safe.

Do you see the Orangutans?

There they are.

It was fun to see this baby zebra.

The Polar Bear is always a hit.

What size gorilla are you?

We won the fierceness competition against the lounging lion behind us.

We left right on time to attend a late-afternoon showing of Incredible Stew, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.  It was a great family fun day.
