Grammy Arrived!

Grammy was kind enough to help out with the kids while I was gone on tour with the Choir over the summer.  She arrived the week before I left and we had a few days to play before she spent the weekend with Oma.

We took her to our favorite local theater to see a gret production of Annie, and the next day we spent the afternoon at the pool (mostly the two of us watching the kids play while I listened to my choir music on my earbuds, trying to cram in more memorization).

That night we drove up to Salt Lake and picked up Oma to take her out to a great Italian restaurant near her apartment.  I left partway through the meal to get to choir while the rest of the group finished up their dinner.   Then Ben, who had come to the restaurant from work, took Mom, Oma, Cat, and Eliza up to Temple Square so they could attend the MoTab Pre-Tour concert (and drove the boys home to go to bed).  The concert served as our dress rehearsal before we left for Tour a few days later.  My aunt and uncle and some cousins attended the concert as well.  I was really excited that my family could see the whole program performed!  And afterward I was able to get out of the loft quickly enough that I surprised them by jumping into their picture without them realizing it.  Pretty fun.  Afterward we all went to Crown Burger to visit some more.
