Sawyer's Big Day

In late August we spent a weekend in California for Sawyer's baptism! It was a great little trip, with lots of laughs, fun cousin time, Nothing Bundt Cake, and California sunshine. (Also a heated discussion about the correct meaning of the 🙌🏻 emoji. For the record, anyone who thinks it doesn't mean "double high five" is wrong.)

A 9am flight means you get to eat any airport food you want for breakfast.

Cat discovered that the single-serve cream cheese container
fits perfectly in the center of a bagel.

Enjoying A&A's 1-year-old pool:

(Yes, there were more floats in the pool than swimmers.)

Tea party for two in a toddler-sized tent:

Hide and seek with Sydney!
She was really good at finding Ben when he hid behind a throw pillow.
And Liza found Sydney hiding under a blanket.

Baptism Time!

More pool fun, an early birthday party for Sydney, and play time:

There was a picture frame in their family room that had no picture in it,
so I decided to take care of that for them. They say they still have it out.

Kinda crazy that this might have been our last trip to visit Andy and Amy in this house, since construction has started on their new house in Utah. Before long we'll only have to drive 25 minutes to see them.
