General Conference

Thursday night rehearsal before General Conference weekend:

There were two significant events that occurred during the Saturday morning session.
First was the announcement of the new For the Strength of Youth pamphlet.
Second was that Sis. Tracy Browning was the first black woman to speak at GC.
Can you see Sis. Browning hugging other YW leaders in this
stalker shot I took from my seat in the loft after the Saturday morning session?

Cat and Robert used my two Conference tickets to attend Saturday
morning and at the end of the session volunteers were handing
out the new FSY pamphlets. So cool!

She's the best.

Crossing North Temple to the Conference Center, there was someone playing
bagpipes. I wondered if he was there for the same reason the entire Nauvoo Bagpipe
Band was performing outside of the Pageant: to drown out the anti-Mormon protesters.

Performing with these women makes my experience in the Choir all the sweeter.

Raeya came over and hung out with Ben and the kids all day Sunday.
Between sessions they drove up to Squaw Peak.

I love this new artwork that was just installed in the lobby
of the Conference Center the week before Conference.

There were a lot of treats at the house over the weekend.
Luke might be in a chocolate coma...

I also wanted to document what the northwest corner of Temple Square looks
like. This is where the North Visitors' Center used to be (where the famous Christus
statue was). I believe it will be used as a garden and additional restrooms.
