The Chicken Chronicles 8.14.20

This week Bandit started acting more like a guard dog rooster, shuffling up to me sideways whenever he saw me, pecking at me, and even jumping at my back and scratching me when I was crouched down picking blackberries.  I started to worry about him being too aggressive.

He also showed that he has a great memory and does not appreciate being physically assaulted.  Whit shot a Nerf gun at Bandit, and then whenever Bandit saw a Nerf gun after that he would attack the gun.  So, no more Nerf guns in the back yard.

You earn a gold star if you can spot all four hens getting their morning blackberries.
Pecking at the remnants on a corn cob.

Enjoying the rest of my plum.  I love having a good use for scraps!
Oh, how he loves these chickens.

Just a walk with the gals.
They really like blackberries.  And raspberries.  And tomatoes.
But Bandid did NOT like when Jack put the berry bucket on his head.
