October Miscellany

Taking advantage of the nearby playground during Liza's piano lesson.

I did a lot of hiking in October and couldn't keep myself from collecting leaves.

The kids got a special lesson in finance.

Luke really leans on David for good advice.

Me: Luke, whatcha doin?
Luke: Organizing the colored pencils.

I was surprised to hear that Luke was the only one
who dressed up as royalty for the 4th grade Medievel Fair.

Jack carried out a science experiment to determine how much better
it is to use sugar with yeast, versus brown sugar or no add-in.

Cat got scuba certified... and fell in love with diving.

We saw Lion King at the Eccles theater and it was absolutely wonderful.

We visited the Provo Farmer's Market one chilly Saturday
morning and enjoyed perusing the wares at the different booths.

Jack and Luke enjoyed it too, but the pizza was their favorite part.

First snow of the year!

Time to dance in your inappropriate footwear.

I really like this list we came up with during a Come, Follow Me lesson.

Testing out the Waldo glasses.

When I asked Luke about changing the direction of (most of) our Halloween bats,
he let out an evil laugh worthy of revolutionary who just carried out a
successful coup. Why didn't he move the one at the top? He couldn't reach it.

Red Ribbon Week Crazy Sock Day

Liza helped him wth Crazy Hair Day

Andy came in town to do some networking and we went down
to Salem to check on the progress of their house. It was exciting
to see so much progress!

Cat working on the captains' scrapbook for Coach.

I decided to dress up when I went to help with Pizza Day the week before Halloween.
I was going for Little Mermaid's French Chef, which I thought appropriate since I was
helping serve food. Luke and his friends obliged me for a picture.

Luke had a bad headache he referred to as a "mindgrain."
He drew this picture of someone sitting in brick room
he can't get out of - that's what his mindgrain felt like.

It was probably the beginning of a cold that kept Luke home from
school for a few days, including on Halloween.
