Deck the Halls

One of the best reasons to spend Thanksgiving at home was that we were able to put up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving.  It was nice to have a designated time to get things set up, and Luke especially loved seeing old and new-to-us decorations.  The kids helped me put up and decorate the tree, but unfortunately Ben had to take advantage of time to work on the shed he and our landlord are building in the backyard.

Nutcrackers!

Our Nativity puzzle is a family favorite.

Luke found a kit to make a little wooden-figure
Nativity set and had fun putting clothes and hair on the figures.

One of my favorite things about putting up Christmas decorations
is finding things the kids have made over the years.  Luke made this 2 years ago.

That night we went to see a Pickleville Playhouse Production in
SLC called "Once Upon a North Pole Christmas," which was a
fun little show to kick off the Christmas season.
