More Thanks to Give

There are a few more things I wanted to share from Thanksgiving.  First, we filled up our Thankful Tree again, this time in a new spot by the pantry.  I always love seeing what everyone writes!

A few I wanted to remember, clockwise from top left: Ben, Me, Cat, Jack, Eliza, Luke

More from Luke:
(L) taste, eyes, ears, hands
(R) I am grateful for school; I am grateful for pie; I am grateful for my family

Also from Luke - the parts he wrote in marker were done at school, the rest we
finished together at home.  I think my favorite thing he's grateful for on this list is Nutcrackers.
At the bottom he wrote "Come on astroid," which I think he's seen on some bumper stickers.
He also let Eliza and me sign it and leave a little message.

I was in a hurry to get up and start helping with the cooking at Andy's house on Thanksgiving morning, so I didn't spend a lot of time reading scriptures first thing.  I decided to try the open-to-a-random-page-and-read-a-bit approach, then come back and read some more later.  This is what I opened up to:

Cat and I also participated in Pres. Nelson's #GiveThanks challenge on Instagram.  It's always good to make an extra effort at recognizing blessings and expressing gratitude, but ironically I felt like the biggest challenge for me was to post about only 7 things.  Of course Pres. Nelson didn't say to share everything you're grateful for using just one post a day, but I hated the feeling that I wasn't expressing enough gratitude.  Weird, I know.  But I narrowed it down, kind of.  Here are my posts:

I loved seeing what Cat posted every day too.  (And, side note, I love how she uses her IG account for good!  She does a great job of spreading love and joy, and bearing her testimony.)  Here are several of Cat's #GiveThanks posts.... unfortunately, I somehow missed two of them.
