Be Happy

On Monday, Luke ran into my dresser and ended up with a hurt cheek.  Later that morning, I asked him how it was feeling.  "It hurts," he told me, "but I'm still happy."

I was immediately impressed with his statement and wondered how often I let little annoyances and discomforts rob me of my happiness.  Hopefully I can be more like Luke and choose to be happy anyway.

A portion of our post-preschool conversation this afternoon:

Me: "What's cupid?"
Luke: "A reindeer."

Tonight after Eliza had a hard time with her math assignment, Luke said this in his evening prayer, "Please bless Liza that she'll always get the answers right."
