The other night I made pizza for dinner and filled a plate with fresh (mostly from our garden) vegetables to accompany the pizza. I left the kitchen, and when I came back, most of the veggies were gone. The boys had eaten all of the cucumbers, many of the carrots, and all but one little lonely grape tomato before all of the pizzas were even cooked.
I guess if you have to eat something right before a meal, healthy vegetables are a good option. And sneaking veggies won't usually get you on my bad side.
I didn't get too upset.
