One afternoon we spent a few hours playing at our local pool, which was so fun. I'll have to update this with cool pictures from my brother's GoPro, whenever he gets those pics to me.
Oma joined us for an outing at Sugarhouse Park, feeding ducks and geese. It turns out I pretty much only took pictures of Jack, who really loves to try to get the birds to eat from his hand. I think I was just too hot to move from my little spot in the shade to get a better variety of photos. The kids had a great time, in spite of the heat, and would have continued feeding the animals bits of bread and single Cheerios if the adults hadn't thrown out handfuls of food at a time in an attempt to finish more quickly.
One evening we had some more extended family come over for dinner at our house. My uncle and his family, plus one of their family friends, all came over for a big Tex-Mex buffet. Games, YouTube, and general craziness ensued.
That Sunday morning, much of the family also attended "Music and the Spoken Word." Because my nephew is too young to be in the auditorium for the broadcast, my brother enlisted Cat to take care of him in the separate theater for young children. She was excited to get to spend the night at their Airbnb Saturday night and play nanny for a little while.
My brother and me. Oh, and everyone else who happened to be within photobombing distance. |
Cat is officially too tall to stand upright in the front row of group pictures. |

What a treat to get to have so much family time in one weekend! We're truly blessed!
