Wise No More

When Liza went to the orthodontist to get ready for braces back in September, he noticed that her wisdom teeth were growing in. Unfortunately, the bottom ones were growing in... horizontally.

We made and broke a couple of appointments because of scheduling conflicts and she finally got all four of her wisdom teeth out on St. Patrick's Day. She wasn't even nervous.

Liza was excited about the post-surgery mindset. She was pretty funny, trying to comprehend the physics of Spiderman, and battling a reality where everything was double ("that woman had four eyes but I didn't want to say anything because that's mean").

Liza's friends were sweet so sweet. A few of her friends from school came over and brought her smoothies and ice cream and stayed for a few hours. Almost as soon as they left, Liza's good friend from elementary school came over with more ice cream and stayed for a few more hours.

Liza's recovery was very easy. The hardest thing she endured was 3 days of liquid foods. She didn't have much pain at all, and the surgical cavities are almost nonexistent. We suspect her recovery was easier than usual because the teeth hadn't completely grown in yet.
