Boys' Day at the Air Show

Ben took the boys up to Hill Air Force Base for the air show!  Their big adventure got off to a rocky start when huge crowds caused long delays getting into the show.  (The biennial show was cancelled in 2020, so it was projected that half a million people would attend over two days, but I don't know how accurate that turned out to be.)  It took the guys about two hours just to get in!  I was impressed that they didn't give up and just go home.  Ben said that once they got in, the wait was completely worth it and everyone loved seeing the planes in the air and the ones on the ground!

Walking up to the C-5 Super Galaxy

About to go into the C-5...

...which is big enough to carry 2 battle tanks or 6 Apache helicopters.

Ben was only slightly nervous to see Luke and Jack sit in this helicopter
and flip all the switches, since it had just flown in from California the day before.
It was not a demonstration helicopter.

Blowing the horn.

Notice the people sitting in the shade of the wings of the B-52.

The A-10 Warthog.
