Checking In With Cat

Poor Cat is so busy right now.  She's taking two (extra) science classes, which happen to be her most difficult classes for the year - Anatomy & Physiology and AP Chemistry - but she loves them!  Calculus is coming easier for her this year, and she's even tutoring another student who's taking AB right now!  She's enjoying Socratic (English + History) as always, and this term she's having fun in CE Art History - super cool.

When she's not at school or studying or tutoring, she's kicking tail (sometimes literally) on the soccer field.  She blew her Freshman season goal record out of the water, and smashed the school's career goal record.  She usually works two shifts each weekend at the Chinese buffet, and has been training as a server.  She hangs out with her friends when she can, usually attending volleyball games at the school or sometimes going to friends' houses in the evenings.

So, hang-out time at home doesn't happen as often as we would like, but we sure love what we get!  Cat is so fun and funny and playful and we just love being around her, especially when shenanigans ensue.

Pre-bedtime prayer wrestling.

Sometimes during dinner you get butter in your hair.  It happens.

A few weeks ago Cat went to Homecoming with Dustin and they had so much fun!  She shared these pictures with me:

Day Date: shopping at a consignment store and finding 80's outfits.
She bought the blue jumpsuit in the second picture.

After the Day Date, the girls came to our house to get ready
and the boys picked them up here.  It was great!
Then they took pictures and went to dinner at a little Italian restaurant.
They paused the HoCo festivities for a bit because some of the dates in
the group were on the boys' volleyball team and had a game that evening,
but then the boys showered and changed again and they all went to the dance.
Cat did her own crown braid to go with the Boho style of her dress.
And doesn't the Baby's Breath look so pretty?

Cat and her friends made the boutennieres themselves and did a great job!
Putting the boutenniere on is a whole different challenge though.

A friend's brother took this group picture.  So pretty!

And these were at the dance.  Love it.
