Last Day of Gym

Eliza decided in June that she was ready to have a different activity, other than gymnastics.  I feel like gymnastics has become such a defining aspect of Eliza's personality that I was really surprised.  But even after thinking about it for several days, and multiple coaches and friends at gym trying to talk her out of her decision, she still felt like she was ready to stop gymnastics.  I was proud of her for coming to a difficult decision on her own and sticking to it - and she wasn't even sad on her last day.

I got there as early as I could after helping Suz with her move.  I used to watch practices pretty regularly but stopped when Covid hit - this was my first time watching in a while and it was fun to see Eliza in action.

(these other kids do have faces - I blurred them out since we don't know them)

For the second practice in a row, the team ended with trampoline
jumps into the foam pit, and Eliza's little Fitbit watch came out of its
band and got lost in the pit... for the second practice in a row.

That's a wrap!

And since I never shared the professional portrait from this year, here it is (with very elementary editing since this was cropped from a larger individual/team composite which also contained E's full name):
