Pops Came to Orlando!

When Megan and I decided to meet up in Orlando for a few days and do some fun things, I called Dad and asked him if he'd like to join us from north Georgia.  He and his crew decided to make the drive so we could see each other, but didn't want to join us at any of the parks.  We were able to meet up with him for dinner after Discovery Cove and breakfast Sunday morning.  Then we saw them one more time Sunday evening after going to Gatorland.

Friday night: a very late dinner, due in part to us waiting for the local pizza place to bake approximately 37 pizzas for our group of 18 pizza-eaters so we could bring them over to the vacation rental with us.  We really missed Kyle, who stayed home after spiking a fever, in case it turned out to be Covid; but we were excited to finally meet Riley's husband V (he's wonderful!) and new family friends Yozelin and Aylin.  Stories were told, games were played, football was watched, pizza was eaten, and a good time was had by all.  Luke was all partied out by the time we got back to the hotel at 10:42.

We took over a significant portion of a little IHOP for breakfast Sunday morning.  The younger kids got their own table, the older kids had their own table, and the adults were right in between.  It was a little crazy but yummy as ever and always fun to be with family!  Megan's family started their drive to SC after breakfast.

We'd hoped to get Dad out doing something with us after breakfast on Sunday but after listing off several options, he preferred to go back to the condo (I think the rainy/chilly weather in the morning didn't help).  So we got back together after our family went to Gatorland.  Kelly made us dinner and we hung out for a couple of hours.

We were so glad they made the drive so we could see each other!
