All Together at Home

A fun little hike in PG
Cat wanted ice cream but we didn't have any, so she made enough to share.

There was lots of chess in our house this January.

Cat started a trend of making up a trivia quiz for yourself on bestiefy.com and the kids
and I joined in the fun - and it turns out, we don't know each other as well as we thought.

Sunday afternoon bike ride and Luke was a trooper on the paved path
and the mountain biking-ish area!

On this ride the following exchange took place:
Luke: My bike has one speed.
Cat: Slow?
Luke: No, that's my legs.

Behind us is the site of where the new Lindon temple will be built.

Trying out our intense WW faces and stances.
Yep, we're tough.

Eliza got the royal treatment: as she ate breakfast,
Cat taped her with KT tape

During the high school's 3-week Winterim, the middle school has Middle School
Intensives.  Jack went on some fun field trips (to an IMAX movie, a regular movie,
and a trampoline park) and split his days between school and home, learning about
chess (hence, more chess at our house in January), automotive mechanics, Pickleball,
public speaking, and geo mapping.  On this day, he was doing an online Geography Bee.

Cat wanted to find a service project one afternoon so she recruited Suz
and Whit to color thank you notes to be sent to hospital employees.

Luke was excited to read a new book we found at the library.
It was nice to just browse and bring home some books for everyone!

One of Luke's favorite treats.

Cat accompanied at YW in Excellence.
She also received the Personal Progress medallion she earned in 2019 but was backordered
for forever, and then because of COVID our YW couldn't hold an event as expected last year.

Cat was babysitting the kids on Saturday afternoon while Ben and I went shopping.
When we got home, we found that the kids were having a water war.
We think (hope?) the war was mostly held outside...

With little Malachi needing to go to the hospital again, cousins spent the night with us.
We had a Croods double feature Saturday night, then the kids had some time to play
(including chess) and eat breakfast before going home Sunday morning.

Our Ward's virtual Primary Program from 2020 was shared at the
end of January and Luke's talk/scripture was wonderful!

Eliza chose to sing a song that another family had already recorded,
so she was featured with these other cute kiddos!

Jack was really excited to meet Suz's new cat, Lucy.

She was so sweet with us!

Lucy and Luke really hit it off.

Would Sunday even be complete without a tickle fight?
