This and That

Jack was so excited to come home from one of his first Deacon Quorum activities and demonstrate what he'd learned: how to make yummy pancakes!  He shared his skills the following morning, which did make us a bit late for school, but no big deal.  And the pancakes were yummy!
Recipe: 2 cups flour, 2 Tbs sugar, 1 tsp salt, 4 tsp baking powder,
1/4 cup oil, 2 cups milk, 2 eggs

I'm glad I documented that one Sunday afternoon when everyone was happily enjoying quiet time,
including Luke, who listened to a Bible story on my Discman (this is why you should never throw
anything away, folks!) while working on one of our LDS coloring books.  It didn't last long,
but it was glorious while it did.

The tables were turned when Jack hurt himself at a trampoline park for a combined youth activity
and felt like he needed to use crutches for a day.  Eliza helped him with his backpack.

Sometimes these two are the best of friends!

Cat had two days off of school early in March, so we enjoyed hanging out more than usual.
We went to the temple, treated ourselves to Waffle Love, and watched Jojo Rabbit.

Ben let Cat drive his truck for the first time.  They were in the church parking lot
after going to the temple and I think it was surreal for all involved.

Eliza invented a game with this Nerf-type crossbow she got for Christmas:
tape a thumbtack to the end of the dart and try to pop balloons taped to the wall.

She did it!

Pi Day 2020

I had a few items Luke had made in science and I asked him to explain them to us while I made a video.  The video is over 11 minutes long, but I included it here because, well, I'm not sure why.
Anyway, it's down there if you want to keep scrolling.  I love that he understands so many concepts well enough to talk about them.
