MLK Day + 1

Since we didn't have to go back to Las Vegas, it was nice to just have a holiday to do what we pleased.  I tried to keep things more relaxed in the morning, but just getting the kids to do the minimum before we left was so hard that I started to wonder if it was worth it go anywhere after all.  But once we left the house, we all felt better and I was glad the kids had a chance to run off energy and have some fun.  While Cat hung out at a friend's house, I took Whit and my younger kids to the big indoor playground at the Provo Rec Center.  They had a blast and played hard, and when we got home, the work was done!

They played at the house for a while before Ben and Suz came over so that Ben could stay with the boys at the house while Suz and I took the girls out to see this obscure little movie:

Of course we LOVED it and as soon as we got home Cat started listening to the soundtrack and learning the lyrics, which was just fine.

Meanwhile, Jack had been begging to go see another obscure little movie but we never found the right time while we were on our trip, and then Cat and I left to go to Las Vegas the following weekend (and Ben was going out of town the following weekend) so the next best time for us to all go see it was actually on a school night (eek!), so... we did.  Suz hung out with Whit and Luke at home while the Bens and I took the older kids to see The Last Jedi and it was great!  Jack was particularly excited, and especially into it, and it was fun to surprise the kids and do something special just because.
