Spot & Chocolate

When Cat came home from a Build-a-Bear birthday party in the fall with her very own teddy bear, Jack had to have one too.  Luckily, we had a Build-a-Bear (or two or three?) in our stuffed animal box, so Jack was immediately pacified.  He started sleeping with the bear most nights, but never named it.

On Easter, Jack received a cute puppy dog stuffed animal in his Easter basket (thanks to the MBA Spouse Association's clothing/goods exchange, where most of their basket stuffers came from) and has loved it ever since.  We started talking about names and Jack soon dubbed the puppy "Spot," and the teddy bear "Chocolate."  He loves them both.  Can you tell?

Then last night, I swooned when I saw him sleeping like this.  Wearing dinosaur pajamas, tucked in with Spot and Chocolate under a Thomas the Tank Engine blanket from Mema and a cowboy blanket from Grammy, with his poster on the wall.  I love it.

NOTE TO SELF: Delete this post when Jack turns 10.  Or 9.  Umm... 8???

  1. Oh, it brings back memories. His dad would tuck in all his animals, before getting in himself - when he was Jack's age. He took good care of his 'animals'. Of course, they were all on the floor the next morning.
    Caring little boys.

  2. Never delete. His future wife will swoon when she sees this one day, too. :)
