Lights at Temple Square

The week before Christmas we finally made it up to Salt Lake to check out the lights at Temple Square.  It was a cold night, but we got there as early as we could and bundled the kids up, so we didn't suffer too much.  Also, it wasn't very crowded, so that was nice!

Right at the beginning of our walk we spotted the Tabernacle.  Cat was curious, so we went in and checked it out.

Man, that organ is impressive!

Eliza hung out in the stroller and tried on Daddy's gloves.

I think that the Salt Lake Temple all lit up at night is a wonderful sight in and of itself.  I'm so glad we went to see the Christmas lights so that we were able to see the beautiful temple at night!

And aren't the floating lights in the reflecting pond pretty?

We didn't spend very long walking around Temple Square, but it was enough time to feel the Spirit and enjoy the festivity of the season.  When we finished we loaded back up in the car and went to my cousin's house for dinner.  He and his family live very close to Temple Square downtown and we had a wonderful time with them.  A great evening out!
