some artsy craftsy things
We painted Mother's Day presents for Grammy & Mema, sorted sea shells from St. George Island, and found a new way to clean up after a mega-painting-session: put some dish soap and a bit of water on the tablecloth. Yes, it's also a bit messy, but it got the tablecloth really clean and the kids had a good time in the process.
a girl became a princess
I had this on the morning of the wedding (yes, I usually try to get up early with Ben) and all the kids happened to wake up in time to watch a lot of the ceremony also. Cat was absolutely glued to it and even got dressed in front of the TV so she could get ready for school without missing anything. We had to leave during the carriage ride, but that was enough for us to watch!
And in case you're wondering, yes, that's our only TV.
Yes, it's old-er. And, yes, it's small. But it works!
Thanks again, Melissa!

feeding squirrels
Well, Cat fed them when she decided that spreading birdseed solely in the yard was too conventional for her. And thankfully she also conveniently kicked out the bottom panel of our screen porch door so that the squirrels could have easy access to the feast on the porch.
messy Eliza
OOh, you're forgiven! And such a lovely big sister you have. Artistically talented as well as your brother!
