Eliza's Birthday

Eliza turned 12!  And she had a really great day.  It fell on a Thursday, which is the day the Tabernacle Choir always rehearses, but since we were still on our Omicron-induced break, I was home all evening to party with the kids.  (Which was fortunate, since Ben ended up stuck in Texas because of a bad storm.)

E has had the Chevron streamers on her doorway since her last birthday.
I decided to keep them on and just add a few blue ones.

E's first year with the official YW birthday sign in the yard!

Raspberry Rolls and KoolAid Jammers at school.

Yummy hibachi dinner.

We finally tried an escape room.
This one was Harry Potter-esque and just spooky enough to keep it exciting.

Ben watched the present-opening and joined in the Happy Birthday singing
over video call.  We missed him but we're glad he was safe.

I'm glad we could have a special day with this special girl.  She's so smart and spunky, confident and comical.  And she's growing up so fast.  It's hard to believe she'll be finished with elementary school this year and joining Cat and Jack at the big kids' school - but she'll love it, and she'll fit right in.
